Color and SMD code calculator is a user-friendly toolkit for electronics engineers and students to determine values of resistor color code, capacitor color code, inductor color code, SMD resistor code and SMD capacitor code.
Additionally, you can make calculations related to Ohms law, Voltage divider, Reactance & Resonance, result value of Resistors, Capacitors or Inductors connected in series or parallel, Capacitor charge.
The app includes:
Resistor color code:
- 3, 4, 5 and 6 band code. Calculates the nearest EIA standard values.
SMD resistor code:
- 1 to 4 digit code.
- EIA-96 with 1% tolerance (13D format).
- 3 symbol code with 2%, 5% or 10% tolerance (D13 format).
Polyester capacitor color code:
- 4-band code with a marking of working voltage.
- 5-band code with a marking of working voltage and tolerance.
Ceramic capacitors color code with a working voltage marking:
- 3-band code.
- 5-band code with a marking of working voltage and tolerance.
Ceramic capacitors color code with a temperature coefficient marking:
- 3-band code.
- 5-band code with a marking of temperature coefficient and tolerance
Tantalum capacitors color code:
- 4-band code with a marking of working voltage.
SMD capacitor code:
- 2 or 3 digit codes
- Numeric decimal code
- 3 to 6 symbol code with additional marking of the unit of measurement, tolerance, working voltage.
- Additional information for calculating the temperature coefficient of ceramic capacitors.
Inductors color code:
- 3-band code.
- 4-band code with a marking of tolerance.
Auxiliary calculations:
- Ohms law - calculates Resistance, Voltage, Current and Power by entering two of the known values.
- Voltage divider - calculates Vin, Vout or any of the resistors by entering three of the known values.
- Reactance & Resonance - calculates capacitive and inductive reactance. Also calculates inductance and capacitance when RLC Circuit is in resonance.
- Resistors in series or parallel - calculates total resistance in circuit of resistors in series or parallel. If result is not Standard Resistor Value (E6, E12, E24, E48, E96, E192), the nearest possible Standard Value will be displayed. Also calculates values of resistors in series or parallel by desired value.
- Capacitors in series or parallel - calculates total capacitance in circuit of capacitors in series or parallel.
- Inductors in series or parallel - calculates total inductance in circuit of inductors in series or parallel.
- Capacitor charge - calculates maximum Current and Charge of the circuit. Also calculates Current and Charge after specific time interval.
